PPC 2002 MediaPlayer fails after installing SeeYou Mobile

Is it really MP? Did you try uninstalling SeeYouMobile and that fixes it?
And a reinstall stops it working again?
It may not be SYM, it may be coincidental that you noticed it or it happened
around this time.
If uninstalling doesn't fix it you may need to restore a recent backup if
you can't find the cause. Get it fixed, do a full backup, reinstall the
program (after a soft reset so no running programs interfere) and see if you
get that effect immediately after a reinstall otherwise you can't be sure of
the cause. It may even work correctly.

My software takes over hardware buttons (when playing) and doesn't seem to
affect WMP.
