X-Fi Xtreme Gamer soundcard Microphone bug?

I have been workin with my brand new sound card lately I have tried sound options, microphone, bios and everything but my Mic still doesn't work.

I have followed the things that the answers have told me to do, but it still doesn't work. I have tested entertaiment mode, game mode and audio creation mode small sound difference but with none of them does my microphone work.
Please I request help for this as soon as possible.
Cannot live on without my microphone >_>


I'm using Windows Vista 64-bit
MSI Eclipse Motherboard
Intel Core i7-920 Processor
6gb of DDR3 RAM 1333Mhz
and GTX Nvidia 285 graphic card (Doesn't have anything to do with sounds though)

hi

i had problem getting the mic to work for voice over IP, i found that the card requires a card with a very low OHM rating i bought a creative mic at 600 OHMS, and it works fine, my other two good quality mics from plantronics, just gave very quite and distorted recording.

Hello. Thank you for the information Ragnar but it cannot be that. I have one mic with high OHM and another one with low OHM rate and I have tested both of em neither of them worked.
