I have the EVGA GeForce GXT 280 V-card. It says that I have to supply a 6 pin (I use a PCI express cable) and an 8 Pin. I dont have an 8 pin PCI express on my PSU but I do have 2 6 pin PCI Express on it.

The card came with an 8 pin to two 6 pin cable (Y). Should I connect one 6 pin PCI Express cable from the PSU to the 6 pin on the vcard and plug the 8 pin in the v-card (this has the two 6 pin femails) and then connect another 6 pin to the PSU and connect them both into the 6 pin connects that is split from the 8 pin on the v-card?

Thanks

Mark

I'll answer my own question.

Yes you do use the 8 pin to two 6 pin "Y" connector to connect the single 6 pin PCI Express cable from the PSU to the 8 pin in the vcard.

Thanks

Mark
