Ok, I've been reading stories lately about the various trials and
tribulations of the lovely Cassandra, and they've inspired me to play her a
bit and see what happens in my game. So I restored my Pleasantville
neighborhood to the original state, and fired it up.

The game starts, with everything set at the Goth household for the wedding
of Cassandra and Don. Well I knew I didn't want her stuck with that
woohoo-palooza bum, so I had her tell him to leave. He ambled off, and she
went into the house to call and invite Darren.

Darren comes over, next thing you know they're holding hands and smooching
on the porch. I watch their relationship meter climb. Check her memories.
Oops! She's still engaged to Don, and her memories are of "having an affair
with Darren"! Ooh, the scandal. Cassandra is mortified to be such a fallen
woman!

Restart without saving.

We're back at the Goth household for the wedding. This time, Cassandra
starts an argument with Don. I watch the relationship meter slllooowwly
creep downward. Cassandra and Don proceed to spend the entire rest of the
afternoon *and* the evening, standing on the side lawn and arguing.
Mortimer wanders by. Alexander is bored so I buy him a remote control car.
Mortimer wanders by again. Alexander starts running the car in circles
around Cassandra and Don, who are still shouting at each other. Mortimer
grabs a plate of salad from the buffet, and sits at a table to watch them
while he eats. Good heavens, he looks like a cow chewing its cud. The car
weaves in and out around their feet and Cassandra and Don are still
fighting. The ghost of Cornelia must also be rooting for Cassandra to dump
him, because she interrupts the argument to appear and go "wooga-wooga" in
Don's face! *Finally*, "break up" appears in the menu. Cassandra gives Don
the ultimatum, pointing her finger toward the road and telling him in no
uncertain terms to get lost. He shuffles off. Yay for Cassandra! Honey,
you'll be a stronger woman for it in the long run. Cassandra tells a joke
to Alexander. Then the realization hits her, and she sobs into her hands.
Hey, wait a minute! Don is chatting up Mortimer and helping himself to the
buffet! Cassandra tells him *again* to leave, and this time he does.
Cassandra cries some more, and even pushes Mortimer away when he tries to
console her with a hug. She sobs into her hands again, but she must have
been peeking through her fingers at the buffet, bcause pretty soon the tears
dry up and she's wolfing down the gelatin. Then she takes her own turn at
the remote control car. Mortimer plays the piano, and life returns to
normal at the Goth household.

I love these Sims, you never know what's going to happen.
