Problem with CD/DVD burner

Hi,

I hope anyone can help me with this problem.

I have dvd burner that is having problems with. alot of times it does not want 2 open up. in order for me 2 open it up i would have to unplug it and then plug it back in and then few days latter it stop working again. i do not know the problem 2 it. i have done troubleshooting and it says it's working fine. but how can that be if it does not want 2 work right. when it working right it was burning just fine. and reading cd's dvd's perfect. so i hope you guys can help me thanks.

btw it's a Lite on dvd burner

Ensure the power and data cables are properly and firmly seated to the drive and the motherboard. Open the drive door and use some canned air, or your breath to blow-out any dust that may have settled there. You haven't damaged the button/switch that opens and closes the door, have you?

no the button is not broken it open and close just fine. but few days latter it stops working then i have to unplug the power cord then plug it back in. then it works. but it keeps doing this over and over. im not sure why.

Maybe my psu is going ?
