Irritating ads

I am currently using opera When I search something on google.com (or any other search engine) an advertisement web page opens up instead of the link I clicked. refox.

Example:
• I type in google.com
• I search for example "When will the next FIFA soccer game start?"
• Google loads up my answers
• I click on one link, example: FIFA.com
• I get redirected to another website filled with advertisements instead of the one I intended to go to.


What can I do to prevent these annoying ads from opening up?

get malware/spyware scanner and run it, also run a decent antivirus program.

malware: malware bytes, ad-aware, spybot: search and destroy are pretty decent.

anti-virus: avira, avg, avast have free versions, if you have a subscription to one, run that one.

your problem could also, MAYBE, fixed by reinstalling the browser you are using so the settings/files are reverted back to normal state, however if this was caused by a malware/virus the problem will come back again.
