Hey I just got a (Amd socket AM2+ athlon64 x2 Dual-core 7750 Black edition , ( 2.7Ghz )) and I was wondering if anyone knows if it will work on my board (ASUS A8N-SLI Premium 939 Board)

I just wanna check before I try and Kill both CPU and Board.

it won't fit into your socket. 939 socket is not compatible with am2/am2+ CPUs. do no ttry to fit it in or you will bend all your pins.

Your board is socket 939, not AM2+
They dont make 939 processors anymore.

Welll if you can find one the Asus M2N-E is a good ,cheap,,mobo or if you want some future proofing the GIGABYTE GA-MA790FX-UD5P,it is not cheap,,but it will take almost any am2 am2+ cpu and according to the manual am3 and,,, it works fine with ddr2 ram,certainly worth looking into..:)
