well i have a 24in monitor and the resolution is 1900x1200 and i play games like crysis, gta iv, call of duty, basically all the new games out there and i need something more powerful to run the games

Single gtx 280-285 is around that budget. You could pawn off the 9800's and maybe get a gtx 295

well i was thinking about getting the gtx 285 then using one on my 9800gt's as a physics accelerator because i heard you can do that with the new drivers.....and also would a gtx 285 be much better than dual 9800gt's

For that res go for either HD 4870X2 or GTX 295,with my config in sig,i can max out every game out there ;)

Reply to Maziar

but on my motherboard the gtx 295 wont work for my motherboard because my motherboard would bottleneck it

Who said that ?!
Your motherboard has PCI-E 16x slot which supports PCI-E 2.0 cards,PCI-E 2.0 and PCI-E 1.0 dont have alot of difference in performance,so dont worry
