What's the most reliable Hard Drive?

Hey All,

I'm looking to buy a new hard drive (well 2, one for me and one for my brother's computer), and I wanted to ask here for recommendations.
I'm thinking 500GB since they seem to be the most in my price range.
In order of importance:
1) Reliability
2) Performance

I have a WD Black 640, and it seems to work great, but I've been looking at Newegg reviews, and the 500GB WD black seems to have a fairly higher failure rate than does the Samsung Spinpoint F3. I've heard the spinpoint recommended, but I'm unsure about the reliability of this drive.
So what do you think?

I've been buying mostly Seagate 7200.12 drives lately, and have not had any failures or DOAs on any of them.
