Hi there, I have a 42" 1080P LCD TV on it's way that I want to use as my primary monitor and wondering which would be the best connection to use. The TV has a built in VGA connection but my 9600GT alows me to do DVI to HDMI or S-Video to Componet. Also what would be the best resoultion setting to use.

If I remember correctly:

HDMI > Component > VGA > S-Video > Composite.

Your best option would be to go from DVI to HDMI.

As far as what's the best resolution, the native resolution of your HDTV (which should be 1920x1080 or 1920x1200) given it's a 1080p TV.
