I have a 4870X2 and with all max settings at 1680x1050, I'm getting a max of 30 fps in the starting village.
In Mirror's Edge, with all max settings, (Minus PhysX), I get 30-45 FPS.
I did a run with FarCry 2: http://img384.imageshack.us/my.php [...] ltsak8.jpg
Is this normal?
My system:
CPU: i7 920 OC'd to 3.8GHz
GPU: Sapphire 4870X2
RAM: 3GB DDR3 Corsair Value
PSU: 750TX Corsair
What are the settings in FC2? That is about what I get with two 4870s with 4xAA on in DX10.
Do a 3DM06 test and post back. With that huge OC, I would hope that your 3dM06 score is over 19K. I am clocked at 3.4GHz with a penryn quad and can get 19K with xfire 4870 so you should be able to surpass that if everything is working ok.
Does your version of Mirror's edge have all of the updates installed?
Eww..... yet another nVidia optimized game, or so it seems.
Well FC2 is still young and very few patches to help optimize. try another game (if you have one) that way we can see a bit more info. If you have Crysis try that. Normally the X2 does well in that game.
Yeah I think you are good. In that link I posted, the 4870x2 is at the bottom of the list for performance in mirrors edge...it is under a single 3870 which just ins't right. There just needs to be a hotfix or something on ATI's behalf.
Two 4870s in my system set at 8xAA doesn't run FC2 at all. Your score looks like mine when I run 4xAA. Plus my 3DM06 score is just the free demo version where it is at the really low resolution with no AA. You are golden there goldsun.
