I did get rid of this once before be its back. I forgot
how I did it.
Attached laptop to a home local network. Printer on
another computer on the network. All is well and still
prints but I noticed dramatic change in performance to
find that a print spooler was eating away at the cpu.
Turning off the print spooler puts me back in the game but
somehow it reloads again. I cannot print of course after I
knock out the print spooler.
Setup will not allow me to change anthying on the cleint
side of the print

In my experience, this is sometimes caused by a misbehaved printer driver.
When you add a network printer, the driver files still get installed onto
your machine. You may want to check with the manufacturer to see if this is
a known issue.
