Hi guys,

i'm need of urgent help in choosing motherboard for OC purpose for Core2Duo e4500 (2.2GHz; 800MHz FSB)

I want to know whether the MSI Intel P45-C51 [DDR3] is a good Overcloking motherboard.

budget is tight, max to INR4500 (~USD100)

or

is there any other brand/model i should go for?
IGP would be an added bonus.

=> going to buy a MSI 5770 gfx. card.

I have to add more RAM to the existing system, 2GB.

As the price difference between 2Gb stick is too less, i'm thinking of going DDR3 way.

Current config:
CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 [800FSB]
■ Motherboard – Intel DG965WH
■ GPU – Onboard – GMA X3000
■RAM – Corsair XMS2 1GB (2x512MB) PC6400 800MHz
■ Monitor – HP CRT 17”
■ SMPS – Cooler Master extreme power 500Watt

PS. I'm new to Overclocking.

That's funny, I had the same thing, and upgraded the same way. I had e4400 and intel 965, and then got a MSI p45 platinum.

I can say it overclocked my e4400 to 3.2 easily. The same board overclocks my q6600 to 3.6ghz. And in researching this board, I saw folks with e8500 go well past 4ghz. There are a ton of switches in the BIOS for voltages, so it will be easy to get the max speed out of an older chip like e4400.
