How to install a blueray burner in a computer

Hello, I just bought a BH-4B1S Blue ray burner and can't get the motherboard to see it. I have unplugged the DVD AND DVD Brurner and it still will not see it. The motherboard will stop/frezze at the opening setup when I turn it on.

Just a sanity check: Did you plug a SATA data cable between the drive and one of the SATA ports on your motherboard, and did you also plug a power cable from your power supply into the drive?

When the system is powered on, does the drive tray open when you press the eject button?

OK got it working. I didn't unplug the IDE cable from the old DVD drives. XP has found it and it seems to be working.
