So I am in the process of a an upgrade that is aesthetic.

Currently I use a PC Power and Cooling 750w Silencer. It works fine good PSU however it has a massive amount of unneeded cords. So I saw Cosair released some very nice Modular PSUs. I am trying to decide between the 750w, 850w, or 1000w version.

I am running Currently 4 HDD's 2 8800GTs, 4gb or ram and and E8400.

I plan on doing a series of upgrades to make a more professional grade looking gaming PC. My new final build will include

Westmere CPU
6 GB Ram
5 HDDs
Fan Controller
Cold Cathode Lighting and Lasers
1x5870 or GTX 300

Now will 750w be enough or will I need to go 850w/100w.

I don't think Corsair makes a 750W modular... it's 520, 620 (which i use), then 1000. Seasonic has 750, 850, and 1000 modular PSUs for a prremium.

Well I want to airbrush the inside of my Antec 1200 with Blue or Green UV Reactive Paint, and get some UV Blue/Green heatshrink. Throw in some UV Cold Cathodes and Sound Reactive Lasers.

Your buying another 750w psu which pc power is IMO better than the corsair just because to many wires?

get some zip ties and raise the hardware base up towards the dvd/cd drive and then put the wires under it...

Not worth buying something like that when you already have something better. Can't be to picky now.

Already bought the Corsair, While yes PC Power and Cooling make the best PSU, it isn't modular and modular is what I need. I am aiming for showing the least wire possible and am even drilling 1 inch holes and adding grommets in the Antec 1200 for better cable placment. I'm not simply tucking the cables in the bay like most. I am hiding and strapping them down behind the mobo tray, allowing only a very small amount of cable to be shown where the connections are made. When you look into my case it will have a very clean and professional look.

Maybe next year after I have finished my Upgrade, I will use the parts im replacing and put it into a HTPC, as not to waste them. I mean my e8400 and 8800GT SLI are still pretty good and there really is no need to upgrade as Crysis is the only game to push my system. Thing is I want the latest and greatest and upgrade regardless every other year.

How can u openly say that the PC P&C is better when reviews show them to be exactly the same in performance??
Imo, PC P&C is the biggest, overhyped company in the world of PSUs next to Silverstone...i mean, I agree...theyre good, but don't think of them as the god of all PSUs
I mean, i understand one is Seasonic, the other CWT, but in terms of numbers, are neck and neck (except one has a bigger fan)

Corsair HX620 would be plenty.
