Acer help

Acer Aspire 3690

Hi,
I had formatted my hard drive accidentally, my neighbour assisted me get things up and running again.

I cannot get my webcam working and did not receive any discs with the laptop.

I have been on the Acer website and looking for the driver to download but I cannot identify the type of camera that is built in.

Can anyone please help.

try the logitech vista driver

get the app from the utilities tab!

I didn't come across an windows 7 drivers!

Hi and thanks for the reply.
I did what you suggested but although I have the Orbicam on my desk top and it does open, I get a message saying,
" A web cam was not found or is not working properly"
The built in web cam was working ok before.

That's because there are no windows 7 drivers,and sometimes the vista drivers aren't a perfect fit!

Hi again and please accept my apology, new to using a forum.
I am running XP and not Windows 7

UNINSTALL the other driver and install this one from the xp list!

It will say something like....Camera Logitech

Use the link i gave you and get it from the xp list!
