hello I just bought a amd 955 black and a GIGABYTE GA-MA790FXT-UD5P motherboard. I am now shopping for some fast ddr3 memory ( the faster the better ) can you help me choose the right memory ?

Of all the parts in your PC that make it "fast", memory is the least important.
Not saying that memory is not important, but what is sold as very fast expensive memory will not make a noticable difference over similar inexpensive memory. It will show a small difference in benchmarks, but you won't tell much difference at all in real world use.
The most important part about memory is having enough. 4 gig is usually considered "enough". Past that though, look for memory with tighter or lower timings, and do not pay a premium for memory that is "SLI Certified" or "Gaming Memory", it is only a advertising plug to sell it.
