XP or vista 32 bit

For an I7 system, why not go 64-bit? If you go 32-bit, you're limited to 3GB.

I don't see why you wouldn't go with a 64-bit OS if you're using an i7. If you insist to use the 32-bit OS then go with Vista.

well im kinda just going to wait until the new windows come out before buying a new os
by going vista will it limit me the games i play such as older ones that vista was not out when game came out

Vista doesn't like some VERY old games, but most will work in compatibility mode. What games did you have in mind?

Vista 32-bit unless you have 6-8gb ram.

If you have 6GB of RAM you're wasting 50-70% of it if you don't get a 64-bit OS. A 32-bit Windows can't see more than 4GB of RAM under any circumstance, and the last 750MB-1GB is usually reserved by the video card and other devices.
