I am preparing to buy the components of my AM3 platform, but I need to know if this memory is compatible or not. The more I try and find out, the more confused I got.

Nice equipment choices there, it's always exciting to build a new box..
The RAM is quite nice, easy for overclocking, etc
The mobo supports dual channel memory, so going with this RAM will work but will eliminate dual channelling

So should I go with something different to better utilize the mobos capabilities

Well, if it were me I'd go with something like 4 identical sticks of RAM.
