Hey everyone

ok guys heres the problem i had 2Gb of corsair XMS 1066mhz Ram so i decided to upgrade so i bought another 4gb of corsair xms 1066mhz ram (DDR2)
My 2gb Runs no problem By itself at 1066mhz so when i got the 4gb pack i took out the 2gb and installed the 4gb pack just to make sure it worked and it runs at 1066mhz no problem. So i put the 2 sets of ram together and wam im stuck at 667mhz i cant get it to go higher i changed the location of the RAM and moved channels but nothing Together it limits it to 667mhz i was just wondering do you know why this is?

My motherboard is the Gigabyte GAMA790GP-DS4h and both channels support 1066mhz so i assume 6gb isnt too much for 1066mhz speed is it?

The rest of my spec is as follows.
Amd Phenom II 940 BE 3.0ghz
Sapphire 4850HDx2
500GB Samsung Barracuda
Gigabyte MA790GP-DS4H
Cyba Snipa Sonar 7.1 Headset
1000w Icute Modular PSU

Thanks very much best regards =]

The QVL clearly states that you can only use 2 modules of 1066 MHz memory. This is an AMD AM2+ CPU limitation.
