Low priofile heatsink advice.

Hi All,

I have an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4 ghz with a failed heat sink fan. My tower only allows for a low profile fan. Any advice out there?

Thank you guys. How can I tell which will fir my motherboard. Are the placement of the screws standard?

Any heatsink that fits a Socket 775 (also written as LGA775) will work just fine on your board.

Measure the case and motherboard clearances with the size of the heatsink with fan attached.

Get a low profile fan. But before you do you shold try to install a regular fan and just see what happens.
