Hey there, when i bought my rig, in the memory section says 8192Mb DDR2 800/1066 Mhz ( 4 x 2048Mb ) Dual Channel memory. Ok so they are 8 gigs of mem, i use vista x64. The thing that confuse me is the 800/1066 mhz thing. As i understand, is that the memory mhz can go or is able to oc from 800 to 1066... Actually, is running default, at 800 mhz. How can i make the memory to run at 1066??? IF i were able to upload an image, i`ll post the cpu-z memory speed.

Btw, in cpu-z says max bandwidth pc2-6400 (400 mhz). SO as its ddr2 dual channel, i suppose that it must be the double. 400x2= 800... So to reach 1066 in cpu the max bandwidth must be 800mhz. But, how is that made?? Do i hav to change the timings or something in the bios? Actually they are 6-6-6-18-24-2t

In CPU-Z you will see the memory top speed and voltage under the SPD tab. Maybe the 1066 refers to the cpu fsb in your case? what cpu? Was that in cpu Z as well(i do not see anything like that)?

Dual channel has NOTHING to do with 400 being 800. It is the nature of double data rate, but both 400DDR and 800 are correct in this case.
