Hi, I am a student about to enter college and I needed to upgrade to a new computer, with all new parts including monitor, keyboard, mouse ect. along with the main ones like GPU/CPU.
My budget is just around $1000 and through researching I have come to conclude that this should be a good system for what I need, which is basically research/schoolwork with some light gaming and movie watching mixed in.

Keep in mind that I am in Canada so prices will be a little high and I will be using NCIX with the pricematch feature just because I like them the best.

Try newegg they have a canadian web site. Your GPU is kind of low for the rest of your system. Other than that, it is a good start. If you game in any way that GPU will not cut it. It is not bad, but it is not very good either. You would be better getting an 8800gt, 9800gtx+ or for a bit more a Gtx260. Some of the 4850 can be had at a good price too.

Does newegg.ca ship out of Canada, because I do not want to be hit with cross border duty fees or anything of the like. Thanks for the suggestions and I'll look into the video cards a bit more.
