I'm looking at getting this motherboard: (GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel). So I'm looking for a PS for this board. Maybe a 450watt. But this board looks to use a 24pin plus an 8pin cpu. Having trouble locating a good PS. Any thoughts?

thanks

We can't recommend a psu until we know the other components you are using. But here are a few websites you can look into to help. http://www.antec.outervision.com/ Use the Calculator to get an idea and then pick one a little bit bigger than that.

For now? What are you looking at replacing it with, we ought to factor that in too...

If I did replace it, it won't be anything dramatic. This system will be used mostly for running multiple Virtual OS's.

A fairly basic power supply would work then - a standard ATX unit in the 400-500W range would be more than adequate. Corsair is an excellent brand to look at, as is Seasonic.

Actually my problem is I can't find a correct Ps for this board. I guess i need one that has a 24pin and 8pin connector.
