Computer Model number:Aspire M1100
Bios Vendor: Phoenix Technologies, LTD
CPU: amd athlon X2 Dual core processor BE-2300 1.90
bios: Award (10/10/07)
Motherboard name: Acer F690GVM

Since i have a Acer Motherboard i know its locked can anyone tell me what i need to do to safe oc. how to it where to start this is going to be my first overclock. It was recommended to me that i just buy a new mobo with a new cpu. I might just do that but i rather save money since i just spent $130 on this new card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168.... but i dont know if any ol am3 mb will fit since its a acer tower. I've read newegg reviews for the same cpu i have but from newegg not acer i dont know if the acer ones are built different but ive read its stable up to 3ghz oc.

Finding the correct ID and the program that can modify the clocks while the machine is on in windows is quite rare. You might as well purchase a new board, overclocking the energy efficacy models are easy and normally don't need much of any voltage increase at all plus they are easier to cool. On older 90nm models though they tend to nuke the ram in the process so make sure the ram is running cool.
