DirecTV - HDTV - Receivers??

We are remodeling the house and the family room will be set up for a home
theatre (HDTV Plasma, surround sound system, etc...). I am leaning towards
a multiple room DirecTV system, but I'm unsure what would be the best
DirecTV receiver(s) to use. Or should I be looking at Voom, or some other
content provider instead??

Can anyone point me towards websites for reviews or forums where folks are
talking about this??
