I would like to upgrade my Dimension 8400's video card to something better, the best card i can get without needing to upgrade my power supply unit. My specs are:
Pentium 4 with 3.2 Ghz HyperThreading
PSU: 350w
RAM: 2 Gigs
I've read some other posts about the ATI HD 4670 or Nvdia 9600gt,will these do, if so which one? are there better ones? PLease i would really apreciate it !! Thank You So much!!!

If you want to keep your old, inadequate, dust-filled, fans about-to-die power supply, go for it, but to plug in a decent new video card will require disconnecting just about everything else you've got to feed it.

Many new cards drink more than 125 watts all by themselves.

Do some research at and to see what they offer and what you'll accept as a minimum power/performance ratio and then decide if a new arc-welder-rated power supply is really such a bad thing to buy so you can plug in any card you fancy.

Sorry for such a crappy answer but it takes power to run power.
