Alright, so I know I posted a build a few months back, but that's scrapped. This build is for running ubuntu, experimenting with some overclocking, and generally just having a mildly upgradeable (at least in graphics if i decide to game) system. Prices don't matter much, but I kept it under 700. Also, I might run LAMP or a few game servers and might even install ubuntu server.

Sorry I cant help, but I am going for almost the same build, just a different HD and GFX card. I would like to know the same question, because you couldnt pay me to use windows!

So if anyone has an answer, please advise.

I prefer the cooler master case, the NZXT is too obnoxious.

As for the vid card, i would go with Nvidia, it is better supported by Ubuntu.

If no one replies to this thread regarding Ubuntu support, I am going to build mine at the end of the week, and will let you know.
