Hi. I have a property with two houses. I have one set up with the main internet connection and a wireless router. I want to extend the network to the second house wirelessly. Tennants (friends) will be using this and they will only pick up the signal on one side of the house. Computers sitting here can pick up the signal fine, but if you move to the interior of the house, there is no signal. Running a cable to the 2nd house is not possible. I have an unused wireless gaming adapter (only one ethernet port), a 4-port wireless router (non-WDS), and a 5-port switch. So I guess my questions are...
1) Will I be able to pick up the wireless signal at this one place and redistrbute it to the rest of the house?
or
2) Is there a way to use internet connection sharing (ICS) or configure a Windows 2000 server to distribute a wired internet signal out by way of the router or switch after it comes in on the wireless gaming adapter (or possibly a wireless PCI adapter)? I can't get the switch to split the signal to 2 different PCs using the gaming adapter.
Note: The main wireless router in the main house must continue to use the IP 192.168.0.1 (Which screws up ICS!!!)
