Hi,

I decided to post here because i saw other with a similar problem, this solution didn't solve my problem.

Processor Core Cuad Q6600 G0
Motherborad Asus P5QL PRO
OS Vista 64

My cpu multiplier always stay at 6 even when i do a stress test with Prime95 or Everest.

The BIOS is updated and all is in auto mode, i tried to disable C1E Support, Intel SpeedStep, changed the multiplier to 9, clear CMOS but nothing happend.

EPU-4 Engine: High performance. Performance profile: Tried With balanced performance and high performance and nothing.

Anybody can help me?

Thanks...

Check your windows power settings under Control Panel, System and Maintenance, Power Options, if it is set to Power Saver then I think it locks your multiplier at 6 (on a q6600) so try the High Performance setting, should stay at 6x idle but go up to 9x then under load.
