i already did the first part which is making the internet connection (in the XP pc)shared,and now what should i do in the VISTA pc??

I assume you're using ICS (Internet Connection Sharing). The XP PC needs to have another network adapter connected directly to the laptop (wire or wireless). Make sure the Vista PC is using DHCP. If ICS is configured properly, it should just work.
