i have an ecs a780gm-a with one transcend 1g pc800 ddr2. lately i added a 2nd transcend 1g pc800 ddr2. they are exactly the same but my computer won't start. both works when used alone in any slot but once i use both the problem returns. please help me.
Have you tried using both sticks while swapping them around? Meaning trying different combinations of slots. If that doesn't work, you can return your RAM for a replacement/refund.

I don't understand your logic at all. If each stick works solo how can either of them be bad? IMHO the problem is on the MB, assuming the proper RAM is being used. I would flash the bios and if that doesn't work contact the MB support folks.
