Hi! I would like to buy the 8600GT but I don't know will my motherboard (which is P5GPL-X LGA775 INTEL 915PL/ICH6 800 2DDR(DUAL) be compatible with. So the question is: Can i have DDR3 or I must go for DDR2? And also (if it makes a difference) I have a power supply of 400w.

It does not matter what your motherboard is or what ram it takes, so long as it has a PCI-e slot on it (which it does):

P5GPL-X
- Intel 915PL chipset
- Intel LGA775 Pentium 4 CPU
- Dual-Channel DDR400/333
- PCI Express Architecture
- 6 Channel High Definition Audio
- Intel Gigabit LAN
- ASUS Hyper Path2

The 8600GT, so long as it is also PCI-e, will fit your mobo.
