Dear Neil,
Thank you very much for your reply. But I have a question: Does
PocketTV support MS's wmv file?

This SDK is no longer supported by Microsoft.

Thanks for that clarification Jason.
I'm still of the opinion that MS should retain archives of this stuff
available, but mark it as 'no longer supported' rather than
withdrawing the resource.
2 scenarios occur - one is that users might have a legitimate use for
the code and docs listed in the SDK, for example because they are
using an older device which is also 'not supported' but remains fully
functional (eg a WM2002 device).
Second is that removing resources without posting a page notifying
that the resource was withdrawn can play havoc with links from
websites and referrals from newsgroups archives.
Just my 2c ;-)
Cheers - Neil.

There is a third scenario- you download files you may need while they are
available and keep them on your computer.

Sure, while *I* can do that, its not much help to others looking for
the files - I'm not clear about the licensing issues of re-posting MS
files or sending them P2P etc, and I'm sure not going to start
emailing people megs of files a week.
Maybe somebody at MS can clear these files to be distributed
Cheers - Neil.

I didn't mean 'you' as a distribution centre.
I meant that *any* user who uses, or may need files, can (should?)download
them to their computer while they are available.
In other groups (for example Psion) there have been occasions when files
that are 'no longer available' have been forwarded by helpful and friendly
people (who have kept copies) when they've been asked for.
There was no intention of putting you into any category of providing files.
