Acer F690GVM
Yeah I got a prebuilt PC (AM1100-U1402A), but recently I installed a new PSU and a new GFX card (HD 4850)

But now the processor (Athlon X2 Dual Core 4400+) is holding me back.

I want to get this :

AMD Athlon 64 X2 7750 Kuma 2.7GHz

But have no clue if my motherboard will be able to support its wattage. Any ideas?

Check your motherboard to see if you can find any information on the actual maker of the motherboard. I did some searching on Google and most information points to Acer using Foxconn motherboards. If you can determine the motherboard, you can search Foxconn's website to see if the processor will work on the motherboard. Here is a website of possible motherboards.... http://www.foxconnchannel.com/prod [...] t=AMD+690G . Once you find the actual motherboard maker, you can determine if it will support your processor. I've only come across the AMD Athlon 64X 6400+ models being supported but you might get lucky.
