I was wondering if there is a way to test if my ATI 4870 is defective or not. I've been experiencing lags of my mouse when opening pages, and my computer showing a weird green screen when i watch movies occasionally.
Any one know of such a tool?

Add a reply

Run a game or use ATITool. Check for yellow spots or artifacts.
Any video benchmark tool will do.
Stressing the card will show if it is defective.

i just had a hd 4870 completely die on me after a months use so it wouldn't surprise me, see if u can send it back and have it replaced

sorry for reviving this but i did solve my issue a while back. The problem was the audio/video codecs. All i did was download the K light codec pack FULL

Solved all the issues
