Ctrl Button has stopped working

Hello,
I have always used ctrl+v to paste in a word document and holding down the ctrl button while selecting emails which are non adjacent in outlook express to delete or file. Suddenly the ctrl button has stopped working. Help needed.

Laptop? Try alt+ctrl+fn. If it's a PC keyboard try to clean it. Use the right click menu in the meantime.

It is a laptop and I have tried your recommendations but it is still inactive.
ctrl+v is the only way I can paste information into a webpage for an organisation I belong to - nothing else will do. I am at a loss. Any firther suggestions?

Get a can of compressed dust-off and blow the dust out of the keyboard. Get the little tube as far under the keys as you can.


vacuum cleaners are not recommended. (suck up keys and develop strange static electricity problems).
