Hi, can my specs overclock my CPU if so, how can I, sorry I'm new

My specs are:

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9400 @ 2.66GHz
Memory (RAM) 4.00 GB
Graphics ATI Radeon HD 5800 Series
Motherboard ECS G41T-M

Take a look at ^^ that ^^ sticky. Give it a read and take a look through your bios to see if you have anything simlar to the settings in the guide. If your mobo has the settings you can overclock.

How far you get is going to depend mostly on the quality of the mobo/RAM.

Most ECS boards are poor overclockers because of BIOS limitations. And the G41 is a budget chipset.

Go into the BIOS and look to see if you can change the FSB frequency, have some control over voltages, and can modify the voltages.

If you can do all of the above, you have a chance to overclock.
