I've decided to upgrade to core i7. I've picked out a motherboard, memory, processor, and heatsink and the total comes out to around $950. The trouble is, I'd like to take advantage of the <no interest for 12-months> deal that newegg has going on, and the minimum purchase for that is $999. Seems a shame to let $50 come between me and an interest free 2009.
I thought about adding a hard drive, but I really don't need a new one.
I already have an X-fi, so a sound card is not really an option either.

Any thoughts on something between $50-$150 that I could add to my order to push it over that edge?

You can never have to much space to store all your stuff on :)

(1) Upgrade your proccy, mobo, or RAM to something better than you chose to begin with

(2) Or Why not get a Blu-Ray drive?

I know CES 2009 starts in just over a week... do you think waiting until then would make much of a difference in terms of prices, new releases, etc? Like Nvidia is coming out with some new stuff so it might be good to wait if I go the video card route?
