I have a 2.2 GHz AMD 64 3500+, when I overclock to 2.4 GHz in the BIOS using the uGuru Utility for my Abit motherboard, the computer will start up at 2.4 GHz, but then over the span of about 20 seconds, the clock will gradually drop to 2.2 GHz (I watched it drop using cpu-z by CPUID). I thought nVidia nTune might be resetting the clock, so I shut off the service and it still does the same thing.
Does anyone know why this would happen? I understand if my system couldn't handle the OC, it would freeze or just reset to the stock clock speed, but I have never seen anything like this (speed decreasing over time).
