EX58 UD4P error when trying to install Windos

I tried XP installed and got problems that the PC will reboot itself, Vista it wouldnt even allow to install.
Gives the following error 0X80042458

Processor is a Intel i7 920 and 6gb od DDR3 OZ RAM

I have been tryin for 2 days without any success, so any help is really appreciated
The hard drive is a SATA 250GB

Very strange - that's a VirtualDiskService error; have you tried running MemTest86+ on the raw setup to check for h'ware problems? Also, might try (on an off chance) toggling your current setting for CPU Virtualization...
