Hi all

I have just recieved a Dell T300 Server for home use and are using it for labs (Hyper-V) and also for home use (would like to do gaming) dual booting Vista.

However it has a poor onboard VGA and I would like to slot in a new VGA card for gaming. It come with the following buses:
PCIe x4, PCIe x8 and PCI-X 64-bit,133-MHz, 3.3-V

Any help or suggestions welcome on what I can do, thx

It has Single power supply (490W), and one power cable for a SATA device left. I am currently investigating the option of installing a PCI Express X8 to X16 Adapter from Orbit Micro. have a look at http://www.orbitmicro.com/global/express-adapter-p-755.html

I have requested a list of VGA cards that will be supported, anything will be better than the current "Integrated ATI® ES1000 VGA Controller with 32MB memory"

I will look and see if a 9600 that does not require additional power will work in this adapter, halve speed will also do as I need to drive a 26" Dell LCD Monitor.

Any ideas?

I am having the same issues with upgrading the graphics in my T300 and wonder if there are any suitable cards for this server?
