Replacing a 8800GTX with a GTX 295?

Hi, I'm in the market now for a new graphics card. The 8800GTX has served me well and continues to do so, but I need more memory now. From what I've read, it looks like I can just replace the 8800GTX with the GTX 295 hassle-free? I don't have room in my case for anything larger than the 8800GTX, however. Is the new card bigger, smaller, or about the same size?

I have the EVGA 680i mobo.

Is that an HDMI port on the 295 or is it a display port? My Dell 2709 monitor has a display port as well as DVI and I'm really interested to know when they're going to start using these things.

Okay, I welcome the extra 3 mm that the GTX 295 will provide

Technically speaking, isn't my EVGA 680i mobo only PCI 1.0? Won't the GTX 295 bottleneck on my board?

ehh i think it will bottle neck it by about 5-10 fps
