Hello all,

I'm trying to figure out a new graphics card to buy to replace my current geforce 7600GS. I was looking into possible options before quickly discovering that my lackluster 300W power source could be a problem. The comp is the Gateway GT5412, I have only added memory to 4GB and the current video card. Is there any cards that you could recommend that would run well with my current PSU. Would obviously want an improvement in graphics for my games (nothing heavy just Rainbow 6: Vegas, CS-Source, etc.), HDMI output, and increased resolution. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It uses a PCIex16 socket, with a 300w power supply your best bet is a HD4670 graphic card. This is just one choice among many. $70 after rebate

Here's a set of reviews that include the HD4670 with recently released games.

I have to say I agree the best card you MAY get by with is the 4670 without upgrading that power supply.
