Hello im new here and I'm a first time builder who is stuck with this one problem with the asus p6t deluxe v2 core i7 board.

I've been searching on google and searching through this forum but couldnt find the exact answer i need.So my question is...

Would ddr3 1600 1.65v 2gbx3 work on a native 1333 asus p6t deluxe v2 core i7 board without any danger or changing the setting? I dont plan on overclocking right away.

I dont need to run at 1600, im getting for future proofing when i actually do overclocking. I heard theres stability issues or danger with if i dont overclock or underclock?

Thank you in advance

yes ddr3 1600 will work with that board without any danger. Default memory frequency will probably be at 1333mhz anyway.
in order to achieve the 1600 mhz, you would have to manually set it in the bios.
