I have a ASUS M2A-VM mobo running an AMD Anthon 64 4000+ 2.1GHz Dual Core CPU's. Where shouold I place two sticks of 667MHz ram? One in A1 + A2 or A! + B1?

I currently use A1 + A2 as I thought that's what the manual suggested but system reports 'single channel'. Should I not config it as A1 + B1? That implies Dual Channel correct?

Thanks.

If you have 2 modules, they should be installed in slots having the same color. According to the SPD tab in CPU-Z , are both modules identical?

This is not always true.

You will have to consult your the manual for your motherboard. If you don't have one, you should check out your motherboard's manufacturer's site. They should have it.

I have not yet seen a motherboard where different color slots are used for dual channel operation, but they probably exist.
