Have the parts but ran into a big problem need help

Everything was running smoothly until I tried to mount the sunbeam core-contact freezer to my gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P board. The bracket fits fine but I can't lock the cooler to the bracket. any ideas? thanks in advance

Did you carefully read the instructions provided with the cooler and follow them exactly?

Yes. It was a one pager mostly illustrated. The top part of the dealt with amd boards. Found more useful installation instructions at techpowerup.

I hadn't realized it was so difficult. Looks like you'll need to have the board out of the case and on a good flat surface. Is it installed now?

one of the heatsinks is in the way of the clip on the sunbeam. If I remove or modify the NB heatsink then it may work. Got this info from here:

You can orient the cooler in the other direction as well, if your case has a vent out the top anyway.

Sorry for your problems.

Seems I'm going back to recommending the Xigmatek. Unless you have a HAF you have to install the cooler outside the board, and you have to buy separate paste, but it's still easier.
