Asus Maximus II formula CPU Fan Problems

Im trying to adjust my CPU fan to run a little faster/cooler, the problem is with my MOBO it seems it only has a silent,standard,and turbo profile adjustment. Whats even worse is I think because my MOBO is detecting the wrong CPU temp its not running the fan at its full effectiveness. Any help please. Can seem to get SpeedFan to work too BTW doesnt really do anything for my fans.

run your fan at turbo through the bios( fastest speed setting) ... please specify what mobo you have

i have an asus mobo to (P5Q pro) it came with a cd with drivers you can install. chances are your mobo would come with it to. among the various stuff that comes with it is something called 'ai suite'. open it, and through it, (if your still with me) you can find something that is called 'fan Xpert'. in this program you can select your fan speed for all fans (including cpu fan) that are plugged into the mobo. if you fear the sensors are inacurate (and dont care how loud the cpu fan is) you can go to 'user' mode and crank the fan up to max regardless of tempurature
