Hi,

I am interested in purchasing the Asus P6T Deluxe V2, the memory that I may be purchasing is the

6GB (3x2GB) Corsair Dominator DDR3, PC3-12800 (1600), 240 Pin, Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 8, DHX, EPP
(Manufacturer code TR3X6G1600C8D)

This includes Intel’s Extreme Memory Profiles (XMP 1.2).
However on the motherboard manual it says that

"Due to Intel spec definition, X.M.P. DIMMs and DDR3-1600 are supported for one DIMM per channel only."

Yet when I checked the compatibility on Corsair's Memory Configurator it said that these DIMMs are "Guaranteed-Compatible Memory for your Asus P6T Deluxe V2"

What is going on?

One final question is that the motherboard can handle DDR3-1600 (OC) How do I go around overclocking the memory/motherboard or will it do it automatically?

Many Thanks,

Tom
