Do u have 64 bit OS?

Also, if u think theres an error. Dload and burn memtest86+ onto a CD and boot ur computer off of it.
Let it run for awhile. It will tell u if something is wrong

I have 4GB physical RAM, but my 32 bit OS shows 3.2GB

Any 32 bit OS uses it's 4GB address space for other things besides your RAM... Video card RAM will take up some the 4GB address space a 32 bit OS is limited too. So your system is normal to show 3.2 GB of physical RAM available, some of the 4GB space is taken by other system components. A 64 bit OS is needed to use all the system RAM address space for that purpose alone. Set up your RAM to Mfg. specifications in BIOS, speed, timings and voltage.

Yes.

The 800mb is actually used by the system, I think. It is a well documented discrepancy, but nothing is amiss.
